What did you do when you weren't watching TV in the evening? At the moment they are putting together new puzzles with 1000 pieces, which are on their way from handmadeliving. I am absolutely not a shark for puzzles. I might as well admit that right away.
Still, I put one in between, and it's the same every time: I'm deeply engrossed, hardly hear when someone is talking to me, and I really have to find that piece. I find that putting together puzzles gives me immense peace of mind, and I find it fun to look for just the right piece.
Do you put puzzles? The first thing I have started with from the new series from handmadeliving is Svinedrengen. The subject of the puzzle is the princess, who has been tempted by the pig boy's price for the pot. The price is 10 kisses. Then the pot is hers. It's the pot that can play Ach du lieber Augustin with little bells, isn't it? It is one of HC Andersen's most fantastic fairy tales, and I think that the motif is as adventurous as the fairy tale itself.
Every time I start a new puzzle, I think carefully about how to start. Should I start with the edge or dive into the motif itself?
As you can see in the pictures below, I started with the motif itself. The princess's pink dress just called to me in that chaos of puzzle pieces, which are mostly blue, green and brown. The pink dress with the white frills is fairly easy to sort out, so I thought it seemed obvious. Afterwards came the red tiled roof of the castle tower, then the prince disguised as a pig boy in the blue coat and finally the pig, who looked at all the kissing.
The pig boy is one of 7 puzzles that I have designed myself and produce under my other brand, handmadeliving. I will show you the other 6 puzzles over the coming weeks. All the new puzzles from handmadeliving will be ready in the shop around November 15, and I would like to be able to put as many of the puzzles as possible. Even if they all have 1000 pieces.

How do you start when putting together a puzzle? Even if a puzzle starts somewhat chaotically, it ends in the most beautiful order with a beautiful motif that you can be proud of having put together, right?
