Sea of Tea refers to a journey the artist’s own mother made when, shortly after World War II, she crossed the vast Pacific Ocean from New Zealand to the United States with her belongings and family history. “We can recognize a common thread that connects generations to each other, ages to each other,” says Wolf. “My hope is to learn from the past by looking at it intensely.”
