Interesting historical map of Berlin from 1896. This map was drawn in 1896 by Julius Straube , a military cartographer who founded the Geographisches Institut und Landkartenverlag . The publishing house published a number of thematic maps of the city of Berlin between 1858 and 1913. These included a map of bus routes (1864), postal districts (1873), taxi traffic areas (1884) and a general city plan from 1910, which was extremely detailed and divided into 44 sheets.
